| Morphogenetic, structural variables and leaf biomass flows of Italian ryegrass (Lolium multiflorum Lam.) were evaluated under two stocking rates: ‘Low’ and ‘High’. These rates were determined by heifers exclusively on pasture or on pasture and supplemented with corn grain. The experimental design was completely randomized following a repeated measure arrangement, two stocking rates, two and four replications of area for the stocking rates ‘low’ and ‘high’, respectively. The morphogenetic variables, the number of green leaves and tiller density were similar in both stocking rates. Leaf senescence rate was higher with low stocking rate. | Objetivou-se avaliar suplementos formulados com diferentes fontes de proteína, no período das águas, sobre o desempenho produtivo de novilhas de corte em recria. Para avaliar o desempenho produtivo, 20 novilhas mestiças Holandês x Zebu e aneloradas, com peso corporal médio de 234 kg e idade aproximada de 14 meses, foram distribuídas em cinco piquetes de B. decumbens Stapf de 2,5 ha cada, em delineamento inteiramente casualizado, com cinco tratamentos e quatro repetições. | This review aimed to identify the importance of vitamin E dietary supplementation to broilers subjected to heat stress in relation to metabolism, growth performance and quality of animal products and its effects on immune system. Vitamin E is the concentration of tocopherol and tocotrienol, which can be found in natural or synthetic form. This vitamin is essential for the integrity of reproductive, muscular, circulatory, nervous and immune systems of the animals. | The objective this work was to evaluate the supplementation of cows on Brachiaria decumbens pasture during the rainy-dry transition. Eight 1/2 Holstein/Zebu cows (497 ± 50 kg) were distributed in two 4 x 4 Latin squares, with 2 x 2 factorial treatments (100% mineral salt versus nitrogen salt containing 25:25:50% urea: corn: mineral salt, and 1.5 versus 3.0 kg d-1 concentrate per cow). The experiment lasted 56 days, divided into four periods of 14 days, the last seven days for data collection. | Abstract: The objective of this work was to evaluate the effect of the inclusion of protected fat in the concentrate on the productive and reproductive performances of Santa Inês ewes in feedlot, up to 60 days after parturition. Thirty-six pregnant Santa Inês ewes, with an average age of 24 months and initial weight of 46.54±7.87 kg, were used. A completely randomized experimental design was used, with three treatments: CS, concentrated supplement; G5, concentrated supplement with 5.5% protected fat (PF); and G10, concentrated supplement with 13.5% PF.
